The Yellow Dog Jazz band in Lexington, KY is a group of local musicans who play as a hobby and really enjoy the music of revivalist New Orleans Jazz. The group is made up of 2 trumpets, a clarinet, a trombone, a tuba, a banjo, a piano, and a drummer. The Yellow Dog band plays in Lexington and surrounding communities at local establishments, at private events, and for other celebrations.

The band exists as an 8-piece full ensemble and a smaller quartet for more private affairs.
